| El equipo de Fargo recibe el premio a Mejor Miniserie |
Las grandes triunfadoras de la noche fueron "Fargo" y "Orange is the New Black" con tres premios cada una.
Fargo ganó tres de los cinco premios a los que optaba (Mejor Miniseries, Mejor Actor Principal en Miniseries para Billy Bob Thornton y Mejor Actriz Secundaria en Miniseries para Allison Tolman).
El mismo promedio de "Orange is the new black" que se llevó tres de los cinco premios a los que estaba nominada ("Mejor Comedia", "Mejor Actriz Secundaria en Comedia" para Kate Mulgrew y "Mejor Actriz Invitada en Comedia" para Uzo Aduba).
El promedio de ambas series incluso mejora si se tiene en cuenta que tenían a actores nominados en la misma categoría (Billy Bob Thornton y Martin Freeman por Fargo y Kate Mulgrew y Laverne Cox en "Orange is the new black").
Breaking Bad fue elegida Mejor Serie Dramática, con Matthew McConaghue ("True Detective") y Tatiana Maslany ("Orphan Black") ganando los premios a mejores interpretaciones dramáticas principales. Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad") y Bellamy Young ("Scandal") se llevaron los premios a los mejores actores secundarios en Drama.
En las categorías de comedia, todo fue un poco más predecible. "Orange is the New Black" se llevó el premio a Mejor Comedia y los habituales Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory") y Julia Louis Dreyffus ("Veep") los premios a las mejores interpretaciones protagonistas. Los premios a los mejores actores secundarios fueron a Andre Braugher por "Brooklyn 9-9" y Allison Janney ("Mom") y Kate Mulgrew ("Orange is the new black") que empataron en el premio a mejor actriz secundaria en comedia.
Hablando de Allison Janney, hizo doblete (algo que se espera que también haga en los emmy si consigue ser nominada) ya que también ganó el premio a Mejor Actriz Invitada en Drama por "Masters of sex".
En cuanto al resto de categorías, "The Normal Heart" ganó el premio a Mejor Película para televisión, película por la que también resultó premiado como Mejor Actor Secundario en Miniseries o Película para Televisión, Matt Bommer. Jessica Lange se llevó el premio a Mejor Actriz de Miniserie o Película para Televisión por "American Horror Story".
